Celebrating Wellness – Nov 9, 2024

We are excited to announce our upcoming Seniors Wellness Fair, which will be held on November 9th at the CareOne at Sharon, an assisted living community on 675 South Main Street, Sharon, MA.

This event aims to provide valuable health resources, engaging activities, and a supportive community environment for seniors.

9:00 AM – 4:00 PM: 

• Happiness Garden: Join us at the Happiness Garden! We’re excited to offer a series of interactive workshops at the VFS Annual Wellness Fair Event, designed to create a fun, relaxing, and enjoyable experience for all participants while fostering positive, healthy, and resilient mindsets. Immerse yourself in a serene environment where you can cultivate joy and connection with others through activities like Laughing Crazily Together, which brings smiles and fosters community, Doodling for creativity and relaxation, and our Conversation Game that sparks meaningful interactions. Join us for a day filled with laughter, creativity, and connection—we can’t wait to see you there!

• Vendor Displays: Explore health, wellness, and senior care resources at our informative vendor booths.

• Fire Safety Session: The Sharon Fire Department will provide educational materials and conduct a brief session on fire safety tailored to seniors.

10:00 AM -10:30 AM – Chair Yoga Workshop: Relax and rejuvenate with a gentle chair yoga session.

11:00 AM – 11:30 AM – Lighting Solutions for the Aging Eye: Discover practical lighting solutions to enhance vision and safety.

1:00 PM -1:30 PM – Healthy Living for Your Brain and Body: Learn tips and strategies for maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

1:30 PM – 2:00 PM – Age Gracefully Holistically: Explore holistic approaches to graceful aging.

2:30 PM – Family Caregiver Recognition: Honoring the dedication and care of family caregivers in our community.

3:00 PM – Guest of Honor Speeches: 

3:15 PM – Volunteer Awards: Celebrating our volunteers for their outstanding contributions.
