VFS PA Team Jan 2023 Meeting with Seniors

The Volunteering For Seniors of Pennsylvania team, led by Swapna Kari who is the VFS Vice President of Operations for the PA Chapter, conducted another wonderful seniors meet & greet On January 9. 2023. The VFS team engaged with senior by offering ways for older adults to socialize and to create new friendships and connections through the event. Volunteering for seniors volunteers strive hard to create a social community with socialization and enrichment opportunities for seniors during their golden age.

Seniors who are social are also more likely to be physically active. Getting out and meeting people makes them move around. Even if they aren’t doing exercises as a group specifically, just the act of going to an event or visiting a friend engages them both physically and mentally.
