Honoring all who served!!

Your duty with the service might be over by way of wearing a uniform everyday but your obligation and commitment to the success and strength of the future service is not over.
At today’s Remembrance Day service, Volunteering For Seniors Inc recognized three Easton, MA veterans, Stanley Borgeson, Susan Borgeson, and Earnest Smith.
We spent good time taking with them. They were bright eyed and so warm with everyone they talked to and so clear in their memories of the war. I think about the time during World War II and those men served their country under the draft. They had lives planned, children, fiancé’s, wives, jobs.Their entire lives planned out, only to be upended. They did it out of a desire to protect what America is.They gave their life in the defense of this Nation. Some never to be seen again. That generation is now gone, but never forgotten.
Veterans Day was indeed a celebration of patriotism, service, commitment and sacrifice of all who have served our country.
